This very new WordPress website (only one page) has four images: small logo, much larger “header” image”, and two smaller mages on the right side. I noticed that the two small images on the right side don’t appear on my Samsung phone. Checking with friends, those two images don’t appear on any phone including iPhones. Ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Deactivate the optimization plugin Autoptimize to see if this is the cause.

pro-tip; you can usually also disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptirocket=1 to the URL.

if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps debugging,

I (hope I) have a new clue. It turns out that those two smaller mages on the right side also don’t appear on my Edge (desktop) browser. So I right-clicked on the blank space where the photo should have been, selected “Open image in new tap”, and then saw this.

disabling lazyload in Autoptimize should fix that mwrmwr ??

I didn’t find LazyLoad under Autoptimize. Then I went to the Home page, clicked edit, and on the right side found “WP Rocket Options: LazyLoad for images”. I de-activated it there. Lo and behold, the problem disappeared and all images on that page now appear on my phone! Thanks to everyone who contributed here! You’re amazing.

However, that fix I did above also poses a problem. As I add pages to this site, all with the same right-side images, I will have to de-activate LazyLoad for images on every page. That’s not a huge problem, but is there a way to do that for the entire site?

I would assume you can disable lazyload on the generic WP Rocket settings page, no?

Thanks, Optimizing Matters. I found that setting in WP Rocket and disabled it. Now LazyLoad is not enabled for any page.
