• Hi there,

Just wanted to ask how the progress is going. Are the developers behind this fantastic project still motivated, or has the development slowed down? There are currently other alternatives available (yours is still my favorite), but with client projects, we eventually reach a point where we need to make a strategic decision. That’s why we are asking.

    Thank you.

    Hi @auditt,

Thank you so much for your continued interested in Dashify. I understand your concerns about Dashify’s long term outlook as well as respecting your clients’ timelines, so I appreciate you checking in. I want to assure you that we have taken all the feedback to heart and are firm in our vision about what we can bring to WooCommerce.

While our work on Dashify has been irregular, we attribute this to not having transitioned to working on Dashify full-time—something we hope is one day possible. Especially after hearing that it’s your favorite, I’ll find time to make the releases more frequent.

I keep the Releases and Roadmap pages on our website up to date to show what’s recently been released and what’s coming up, if you’re ever curious.

To help with your client project timing, it’s likely a few months until the dashboard theme becomes more complete, but of course Dashify will always be available for future clients.

    Hi there,

Thanks for your response. I’m glad to hear the project isn’t abandoned. The worst part about WooCommerce is its outdated design and poor UX. Your plugin addresses this with clever additional features. I don’t think I’m alone in this opinion, plugins like Energy+ had a huge customer base for similar reasons.

Your work is also very thorough, which is a big plus. You should consider marketing it to grow your audience. Leveraging Envato Market’s massive traffic could help you achieve what Energy+ did.

There are already developers working on similar concepts with Dashify, like StoreUI, VendBase, etc.

You definitely have your niche market. Cheers!

Thank you for the kind words! We certainly share the same opinion on the benefits that Dashify and those other plugins bring to WooCommerce. As someone who has been around WooCoomerce admins for a while and has talked to many merchants about their pain points, I have a list of many, many things that I’d like to do. Dashify in its current form is just scratching the surface!

If I may ask, when would you consider Dashify “complete” enough to offer as a solution to your clients? Specifically, I am wondering if there are parts I could prioritize more. Is it still the product editor and the dashboard of key numbers that you previously mentioned?

    You’re welcome! ??

Well, what does “complete” mean to me? I see Dashify as a plugin that transforms the entire UX/UI of my backend into something much better from a UX perspective and more consistent (like Energy+ did), so my client struggles less. I’m not even looking for specific features, but rather visual changes that reduce complexity.

The order page is doing a fantastic job, and I hope this look and feel can be rolled out to all admin pages.

    Thank you.

And one more thing: I would feel much better if I knew Dashify is a reliable project with constant development. Unfortunately, we’ve been scarred by Energy+.

Thank you for the insight. What you described is exactly the vision for Dashify, so I’m glad we’re aligned. We’ll take this into account and prioritize our roadmap accordingly.

I understand what it feels like to be scarred by a bad experience with software (whether a price hike, abandonment, etc.), and it’s my goal in creating Dashify to not have that happen.

Expect some good updates over the coming weeks!
