My concern is not so much to limit certain user roles to certain post categories, but to automatically limit all users to editing one specific post category. This would save me the time of setting this limit for each of them manually when they subscribe to my website. No big deal if there is no such possibility.

Hi @ph59. You can modify your default user role in this way: https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/roles-edit-single-category/. So any new users will added to the default role and will be restricted to editing posts for one category.

This option is for posts from cattegory.

• Post Reading Exceptions: Control who can read posts in this category.
• Post Editing Exceptions: Control who can edit posts in this category.
• Post Revision Exceptions: Control who can create revisions for posts in this category.
• Post Category Assignment Exceptions: Control who can add posts to this category.

• Category reading
• Category editing

Hi @mkdes. Can you explain that more, please? You want to control who can edit an single Category, for example “Uncategorized”?

Yes. I need control who can edit taxonomy category (name, description). And who can see certain category on category list.

@mkdes that’s not possible with our plugins by default. WordPress doesn’t have an “author” for terms so can’t control who can edit individual terms.
