Images vertically elongated and distorted in widget in Chrome browser

    Beginning recently, some thumbnail images in the events widget are vertically distorted when viewed in Chrome. I normally use Firefox, so didn’t find this change until I received a complaint, so I don’t know exactly when it started, but I believe it was about two weeks ago. The issue does not affect all images, and I have not been able to figure out why. It doesn’t appear to be related to size or ratio. Re-cropping the image makes no difference. The image is displayed correctly within the event itself.

    It turned out to be the fault of mod_pagespeed modifying optimizing jpg images. I don’t know why it was only affecting events manager images, but I doubt if it is an events manager issue, so closing.
