Searches not working

  • I’m working on an NGO database website with a goal of uploading data for 2.5 million organizations. I’ve successfully uploaded 1.3 million, but I’m facing an issue with the search query load time using WP Extended Search. It fetches results by custom post type, but it takes 3 to 4 minutes per query, which is why I tried Relevanssi.

    I previously installed Relevanssi on my website hosted on Hostinger shared hosting, but it wasn’t working. When I searched, it displayed this message: ‘It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for.’ I thought this was due to the large amount of data on my website, which might have caused improper indexing and slow query results.

    However, after upgrading to Hostinger VPS hosting, the issue persists. I’ve successfully indexed 1.36 million entries, but I’m still not getting any search results.

    I’m just going to say no. Relevanssi is not the right tool when you have 2.5 million posts. You need an externally hosted search. Check out ElasticSearch.
