• Not sure what I’ve broken. Since latest change (which I though was only an image change), the responsive/mobile version of the front page ONLY LOADS IF I CLICK ON SCREEN.

    Everything else seems OK. I’d tried changing the image. Removing the additional CSS. Trying on different device (no caching)… but nothing makes a difference.

    Any suggestions to fix this???

  • Hi @drdeedee,

    Ensure responsive mode is enabled for Slider settings (located under Customize > Hero Area > Hero Slider).

    And remove this your custom CSS code that may present under Customize > Additional CSS.

    .slides-container .slide-item {
    background-size: contain !important;
    }

    Hi @kharisblank – thanks for the response.

    Responsive mode is already ON (located under?Customize?>?Hero Area?>?Hero Slider). I tried turning it off and on again… but it made no difference. The problem is still there.

    And, if I remove that piece of custom CSS – the hero slider is huge (I only get a small piece of the image) – and it makes no difference to the problem of the front page not loading on responsive / mobile devices.

    Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks,

    Any other thoughts on this? Its still happening – making the theme almost useless.

    What could be causing it to only load the responsive version of the front page if I click … otherwise appears to be loading indefinitely. Anyone else seen this?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Hi @drdeedee,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Maintaining text (that is written in an image design) remains readable on responsive mode is a little tricky. Since the hero slider image ideally a figurative that stretch widely on any screen size. That being said it is not recommended to include promotional text. I’d recommend using separate area for your text. Hope that makes sense.
