Navigation and Usability Issues in Block Editor Affecting Text Editing

  • When editing text in the Block editor, using the left or right arrow keys causes the page to jump up or down by half a screen, disrupting precise navigation. This issue does not occur in the Classic editor. Additionally, the floating formatting bar (Bold/Italic/…) often obstructs parts of the text, despite ample unused space at the top of the screen. These issues make quick text editing frustrating and inefficient.

    Have you tried to conflict testing by keeping WordPress only and disable any other plugins on your site and see if the problem goes away?

    If you can’t do that, you can clone the site to staging and test there with WordPress only, see if the problem is gone. If that doesn’t happen with WordPress alone, that’s usually as a result of conflict with different plugins you might have on the site.
