• Hi,

I am experiencing an issue with the company fields (both billing and shipping) not displaying on the WooCommerce checkout page, despite being set as required through various customizations. Here’s an overview of what I’ve already tried:

    1. Tested two different WooCommerce plugins to make the company fields visible in the existing checkout form.
    2. Implemented multiple code adjustments targeting woocommerce_checkout_fields and woocommerce_billing_fields to set the fields as required.
    3. Temporarily switched to a default theme (Storefront) to rule out theme conflicts.
    4. Deactivated all other plugins, including WPML and the payment system plugin, to check for conflicts.
    5. Tested an alternative WooCommerce checkout plugin, but it only allowed template selection, and setting up the funnel from scratch would have been required.
    6. Cleared the cache after every step and used Safe Mode to test.

Could you please investigate if this issue is related to WooCommerce itself?

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hi there,

Just to be sure: With the customisations you’ve made and the 3rd party plugins you’ve used, are they compatible with the new checkout blocks? I’ve seen quite a few of these plugins that are only compatible with the legacy checkout and have yet to be updated to being compatible with blocks.

For more information on WooCommerce checkout blocks, and how to switch to the legacy (shortcode-based) checkout, please have a look at the following guides:

    Hello

    RK a11n

    (@riaanknoetze),

    Thank you for your reply.

No changes were made to the checkout page. However, the customer noticed unfortunately after the shop went live that the company name field is missing. Normally, the company name (optional) should be visible in the form, and this is still expected.

The pages were created using the standard WooCommerce plugin setup process, with no additional customizations or modifications made.

How could 3rd party plugins be related to this issue? We are using WPML and a payment plugin, but the Safe Mode was also executed, and the problem persists. What could be causing this?

    Hi @woronl2023 ,

Thank you for providing the additional details! You’re absolutely right—normally, the Company Address field should display once the Company field is enabled in the block settings.

I see that you’re using the Divi theme, and your checkout page is built with the default WooCommerce checkout block. However, after inspecting your site in the browser, I noticed that the block doesn’t appear to be rendered in the HTML output.

It seems something is preventing the Company field from displaying properly. To help us investigate further, could you recall if this issue started after any specific changes, such as updating a plugin or switching your site’s primary language (since you mentioned using WPML)?

Even though you’ve already tested with plugins deactivated, certain WooCommerce extensions like WPML or other translation or customization payment plugins might interfere with the billing_company or shipping_company fields.

To better understand your setup, it would be helpful if you could share the following:

    1. System Status Report:
      • Go to WooCommerce > Status in your dashboard.
      • Click Get system report, then copy and share it with us.
    2. Error Logs:
      • Navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs to check for any fatal error logs.
      • Share any relevant logs here.

You can paste the information directly into your reply using a code block or upload it to pastebin.com and share the link.

Looking forward to your response so we can assist you further!

    Hi RK a11n,

Thank you so much for your assistance and guidance in resolving this issue. After further investigation, I discovered that the Divi theme was obscuring the ability to enable the Company field in the checkout settings. Once this was addressed, the field is now displaying correctly on the checkout page.

Thank you again for your support!
