Duplicate post for custom post type

    Hi

    I’am using wpadverts for classifieds and users can modify their listings on the front end and when they do, a new push message is sent out.

    If I modify the same post in the backend a new push message is not sent out. The checkbox “Send notification on advert update” on the posts is not ticked.

    Is there a way to prevent this behavior?

    I will look into this, in next release i will try to add new option in admin settings, to prevent push notification for post modify in front end (based on post id already exists in notification db table). Next release will be next week before Nov 22

    2.04 version release today with following list of changes

    I have added 2 new admin options for following (front end custom post notifications), Please enable in admin settings

    1. New admin option to send notifications only for new post/frontend custom post types/frontend forum topic/reply. This option will not send notifications for modified post/custom post types
    2. New admin option to send notifications only to subscribers of bbpress/BuddyBoss forum topic
    3. Bug fix: Forum topic reply url click link in push notification is fixed.
    4. Following are list of other changes in 2.04 version

    • Bug fix: Frontend notification subscriptions for mobile app using PNFPB REST API problem is resolved. Mobile app users using REST API will now be able to subscribe or unsubscribe frontend notifications from android/ios apps.
    • Update: Updated logic to have async routines for subscriptions and to send notifications using Firebase httpv1.
    • Update: Optimized various push notification subscriptions for frontend/bell icon.
    • Update: New admin option to send notifications only for new post/frontend custom post types/frontend forum topic/reply. This option will not send notifications for modified post/custom post types.
    • Update: New admin option to send notifications only to subscribers of bbpress/BuddyBoss forum topic.
