    Hello –

Your recent Black Friday promo banner is the most outrageous thing I have ever seen from a WordPress Plugin – it is so intrusive and over the top that I am completely removing this plugin from one of our projects. The fact that you don’t follow normal protocol with your class naming convention does not allow for advanced users like myself to simply hide them with a single line of code, but having to modify it and add new ones each time is not great.

    This one: “bafg_black_friday_20222_admin_notice”

    Should just be: “bafg_admin_notice”

    You should stop doing this.

Thank you for raising this concern. We agree that placing such a large banner on the dashboard was a mistake. Our intention was simply to notify users of our campaign and generate some sales, not to spam anyone. In our defense, we aimed to place a “small, closeable” notice, but it was mistakenly rolled out without setting a height restriction on the notice.

We apologize for this incident, we will hide this banner asap and assure you it won’t happen again. If we add any notices in the future, they will be simple and closeable.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Thanks for letting us know, we have hidden it already on a couple applications with CSS, but also know that for someone like me at a company that hosts and maintains over 200 client websites, they generally wouldn’t opt for a “pro” license unless it was absolutely needed or recommended by us, in which case we just hide all notices on the dashboard from 3rd party plugins.

@viablethought Noted on your feedback. We will keep that on mind and do accordingly. In fact, we identified this problem yesterday and was on our way of updating it today.

And, thanks a ton for raising it on the support thread instead of giving a bad star ?? (We already got one and we totally deserved it)
