    Hi @antonic93

    Thank you for reaching out.

Currently, it’s not possible to generate a shortcode for PayPal buttons using the PayPal Payments plugin. Our smart buttons utilize the JavaScript SDK and are specifically designed to replace the default “Place Order” button within the checkout process. Therefore, they cannot be integrated through shortcodes.

However, we’d love to understand your specific use case better so that we can provide a more tailored solution for your needs. Could you please share some more details on what you are trying to achieve?

    Kind Regards,
    Krystian

I would like to place the paypal button shortcode only in some products to speed up the purchasing experience or to position the button differently in the cart

    Hello @antonic93

Currently, it’s not possible to enable the PayPal smart button for only specific products. This functionality is on our roadmap, but we do not have an estimated time for when it might become available.

However, if you’re looking to adjust the placement of the PayPal smart button within the cart, this is possible. You can find more information on how to change the button position using render hooks in our documentation here.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please let me know.

    Kind Regards,
    Krystian
