Hello, today I have to go back to version 1.7.0.. In version 1.7.1 – 1.8.0 you change the logic when creating the order number when creating orders in the admin zone.

Prior to version 1.7.1, the order number was generated when the order was created. In version 1.7.1 you changed it to create an order number when the order starts to be created (like native woocommerce order numbers). So if I start creating an order and switch in wpml to create an order in English instead of the native language, it skips the order number. Everything is good for us in version 1.7.0.

Can you add an option to the new version when I want to create an order number?

    Hi @furby100,

Yes, we updated the logic for order number creation based on feedback from other clients who preferred having a custom order number generated at the start of the order process, similar to WooCommerce’s default behavior. This helped to avoid situations where emails were sent with WooCommerce’s native order numbers rather than the custom order numbers.

To better understand your needs, could you please share a screenshot of the expected order number behavior in WPML? This will help us explore a possible option to configure the order number logic to match your workflow.

Thank you, and please let us know if there’s anything else you’d like us to consider.

Hello, our e-shop is a B2B portal. Our clients can create an order in the frontend after logging in. However, many orders are created by the admin from the admin zone. The problem is that WPML starts creating orders in the admin zone still in the native language of the site. We tried to find a solution using WPML and they can’t solve it. In a newly created order in the main language, you can click to create an order in another language. The original order is deleted and a new order is created in the second language. So, if I have the latest update of your plugin installed, I have a problem with skipping numbers when creating an order in the second language in the admin zone, because technically we started creating 2 orders. Every second or third order on our portal is in the second language, so there are a lot of skipped order numbers. I had to go back to version 1.7.0. where it worked better for us.

In your previous versions, the order number is assigned only when the order is created, not when the order creation process is initiated, so this suits us much better.
