  • I’m having the same problem.

Also.. if i try to add a new site from wordfence central, it says “license activated” but the license key it’s empty and on the site admin it keeps saying the license nees to be activated.

    Hi @natasacy,

I have recently had to install new Wordfence licenses on some new domains and had no problems with the button taking me to my site and auto-installing the license.

If you attempt to install the license 24 hours after generating it, or are using a different browser to the one you requested it with, you will likely have issues automatically installing the Wordfence license key. Are you also having issues manually copy/pasting the whole key into the field inside Wordfence itself?

There’s a bit more information and a video guide on this page:?https://www.wordfence.com/help/api-key/#installing-your-free-license-key

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

    Hello,

I was trying to install a free license automatically for over 72 hours. The automatic procedure failed all the times. I never have had an issued license for the specific website before, it is completely new. For the first time I had to create an account in Wordfence, request manually a Free license and configure the license manually. This worked.

    Thank you,

    Natasa

@wfpeter besides the “central” part, the url that is called from plugin activation when it says “get a license” gives 404.. that is blocking us to install licenses the usual way.
I had installed a ton of them so something is broken, i think since last release.
