• Trying to set up Google for WooCommerce, and finding it extremely difficult to link all the services, especially Google Merchant Center.

First time around everything connected, but Google Merchant Center was not communicating correctly (and the set-up page kept reappearing), and so I followed some of the other suggestions to unlink the Google accounts and to re-link. When re-linking, “Merchant link is not available to accept” pops up during set up, but it turned out fine after 30 minutes of waiting.

However, Google Merchant Center is still not communicating properly, and I encounter the same range of issues as before the re-linking.

After “success” at setup, the product feed page (/admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fproduct-feed) continuously pops up with errors:

“There was an error loading issues to resolve. Merchant Center account is not set up.”

“There was an error loading your merchant center product statistics. Merchant Center account is not set up.”

If I were to click on the Marketing/Google for Woocommerce button again on the menu, the page would default to /admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fstart as if the set up had not occured.

Checking on Google Merchant Center itself (https://merchants.google.com/mc/linkedaccounts/integrations), both Google Ads and Woocommerce seems to be linked.

    What is the issue here?

    Hi @healthynest ,

We appreciate you for providing a detailed post of what you’re experiencing. It sounds like there might be a concern in the communication between WooCommerce and Google Merchant Center. This can sometimes happen if the initial setup doesn’t go smoothly.

I recommend you try a few steps to clear any potential conflicts:

    1. Ensure that your WooCommerce and Google for WooCommerce plugin are updated to the latest version.
    2. Disconnect and reconnect your Google account to the plugin one more time.
    3. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser to avoid any cache-related issues.

After these steps, if you still see the same messages, it may be something that needs a closer look. Could you collect your WooCommerce System Report from WooCommerce > Status > Get system report and send it over? That will help us understand your setup better.

Looking forward to getting this sorted out.

Changing to Chrome from Firefox to reset the Google connection seemed to have temporarily fixed the issue, but upon refreshing the error returned.

At page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fproduct-feed, the page first tells me free listing setup has been completed. This message then disappears and is replaced with the following 2 messages:

“There was an error loading your merchant center product statistics. Merchant Center account is not set up.”

“There was an error loading issues to resolve. Merchant Center account is not set up.”

When I edit a product, the “Channel Visibility” tab for Google for Woocommerce tells me “Complete setup to get your products listed on Google for free.”

However, all four integration programs have the green tick in page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fsettings

I am on the most updated WooCommerce and Google for Woocommerce version for my WordPress version. Where can I send the WooCommerce System Report in a secure manner?

    Thanks!

    Hi @healthynest,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing these issues with the Google for WooCommerce plugin, especially with linking Google Merchant Center. The recurring setup prompts and error messages like Merchant Center account is not set up are often caused by incomplete account communication or permission mismatches.

Since you’ve already tried unlinking and relinking your accounts, I’d recommend clearing your browser cache and cookies to rule out any cached data that might be interfering with the process. You mentioned that switching browsers temporarily resolved the issue, which suggests it could be related to cached data in your primary browser.

Next, please go to your Google account’s security settings, remove all access permissions for WooCommerce, and then repeat the setup process in the plugin.

If the issue persists, it could be caused by a plugin conflict. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and Google for WooCommerce, then switch to a default theme like Storefront. Check if the errors are resolved. If this works, reactivate your plugins one by one to identify any conflicts. You can do full conflict test by following this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Finally, your WooCommerce System Status Report will provide additional insights to help troubleshoot. To share this securely:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status.
    2. Click Get system report and then Copy for support
