Dispensing with User Name

I use this plugin in every site I make. Good job.
Adding further, after using your plugin in several sites.

I was wondering how to make user name unacceptable. Only email address would be accepted for Login. Could this be arranged?

I was also thinking about Nickname. Only Admin can see the Admin Bar and Dashboard on my site. As a result other members can’t access the Nickname option, and it is mandatory! How would it be if the user name is replaced with Nickname? I am sure your login form can be customized to accept a person’s nickname during registration.
