    Hi,

I am using your Instock Notifier plugin on my ecommerce lacanapalegale.it.

I noticed in the plugin description that it supports Simple Products, Variable Products, Grouped Products, Simple Subscriptions, and Variable Subscriptions at both Product Level and Variant Level.

In our case, product variations are solely for quantity and are always updated in bulk, so individual notifications for each variation aren’t necessary. Could you please advise if it’s possible to disable the popup specifically for variant-level notifications and enable it only at the main product level?

    Thank you

    Hello there,

    Good Day!!

    We’re here to assist you.

We guess you want to disable notifications for individual variations and only show them at the main product level when all variations are out of stock.

If so this can be easily achieved by the following:

Go to Admin Dashboard -> WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Inventory -> Out of stock visibility -> Enable this option

In addition to that please do cross check in our settings page option as well Admin Dashboard -> Instock Notifier -> Settings -> Visibility Settings -> Ignore WooCommerce Out of Stock Visibility Settings for Variation -> Uncheck that option(if it is checked already)

With these adjustments, when all variations of a product are out of stock, the variations will not be shown, and there will be no variation dropdown on the front end. Instead, it will display, “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.” Following that, our subscription form will appear for the main product.

If you need any further assistance or have more questions, feel free to reach out!

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for your detailed response!

However, I’ve noticed that with these settings, the variations are still visible, and the popup only appears after selecting a specific variation. My goal is to display the notification option only at the main product level, without showing or requiring customers to select individual variations.

Since our variations represent different quantities, we manage variation stock levels in bulk for each product. Ideally, the “Out of Stock” notification should appear for the main product when all variations are out of stock, without needing selection of each variation for the popup to display.

Is there a way to achieve this setup? Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hello there,

Thank you for further clarification on your needs.

We would like to inform you that, as of now, our plugin will only work when the variations of out-of-stock products are selectable, in order to ensure that notifications are sent only to those who are actively interested in the product when it comes back in stock.

However, we appreciate your feedback and will explore the feasibility of supporting your request in our future updates.

In the meantime, please ensure you’ve configured the settings as previously suggested:

    1. Go to Admin Dashboard -> WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Inventory -> Out of Stock Visibility -> Enable this option.
    2. Check the setting in our plugin: Admin Dashboard -> Instock Notifier -> Settings -> Visibility Settings -> Uncheck the “Ignore WooCommerce Out of Stock Visibility Settings for Variation” option (if it is checked).

With these settings, when all variations of a product are out of stock, the subscription form or pop-up button will be displayed for the main product. However, if any variation is still in stock, it could prevent the form/button from displaying as expected. Please verify that all variations of your product are indeed out of stock to ensure the desired behavior.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for your prompt reply and clarification.

I wanted to point out that enabling the “Out of Stock Visibility” setting as suggested would hide out-of-stock products from the shop catalog, which is not ideal for my store. It’s crucial for my customers to still see these products, even if they’re out of stock, to maintain visibility and interest.

That said, unchecking the “Ignore WooCommerce Out of Stock Visibility Settings for Variation” option in your plugin works as expected on the product page, which is great. However, I’d prefer to apply this behavior without hiding the products from the shop catalog.

Could you let me know if this feature might be included in a future update, and if so, when it could be available? It would greatly enhance the plugin’s utility for my use case. I’d appreciate any information on when this might be available.

    Thanks again for your assistance.

    Best regards,
