Critical error Woo + WP 2024 theme

    I hate asking you guys for help. I’m using Woocommerce 9.3.3, WordPress 6.6.2 and WP Theme Twenty Twenty Four. I’m able to publish posts and pages, but when I publish a product page, or even try to save a Woocommerce setting, I’m getting a critical error. I’ve deactivated all plugins except Woocommerce and Seedprod (maintenance). When I deactivate Seedprod, I’m still getting the error. I’ve also uploaded a fresh Woocommerce installation (after having renamed the original Woocommerce folder), just to be on the safe side.

    Debug.log shows the following:

    I’ve tried increasing memory limit, to no avail – debug.log keeps showing the same PHP Fatal error saying the allowed memory size is exhausted. When I increase it to 1900M or higher, the server says it’s overloaded.

    I’ve now re-activated Flatsome theme and a number of plugins. Below is the Github status report.

    Hi there!

    I can understand your frustration and I will happily assist you in fixing that issue.

    Please note that, your WordPress site may be exhausting its server memory if it has:

    • A lot of images, videos, and other types of media
    • Plenty of unused WordPress plugins
    • Outgrown its hosting plan resources

      I’ve checked, and the post max size is currently set to 64MB. Could you please try increasing it to 2GB and see if that resolves the issue?
      Additionally, for testing purposes, could you also try increasing the WP memory limit? Once you’ve adjusted both the post max size and WP memory limit, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:
    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate
    • Next, please clear your browser cache and then check again.

      I also recommend reaching out to your hosting provider for assistance in identifying the cause of the memory limit error. Since they have more control over service-related error logs, they may be able to provide additional insights into the issue.

    I did all you said, which initially did not solve the issue. After a few hours the issue seemed to have resolved itself spontaneously. Is it possible that it took some time for the changes to take effect?

    Thanks for keeping us updated, and that’s great news that the issue seems to have resolved itself!

    Yes, it’s totally possible that the changes just needed a bit of time to take effect. Sometimes, server adjustments like memory limit increases or clearing caches can take a some time, especially with any caching on the server or within your site itself.
