Meta title is not display as given

    I’m using CheerUp theme and Multilanguage Pro plugin in my wordpress website.

    In yoast seo settings in meta title and meta description field I’ve enter the details, meta description is working fine but meta title is not updated as added. <title></title> tag updated as per post title or page title not as per yoast seo meta title.
    also in og:title it is working fine. in og:title updating as per yoast seo meta title field.

    will you please help me what I’m missing here or how to fix this. also i can’t update it using function.php I allready tried on that.

    Can you kindly confirm where the title is no being updated? Is it Google Search Engine Result Page? Do you see the title is not updating in the Yoast SEO metabox?

    Thank you for your reply.

    I’m adding meta title and description on yoast seo box on edit page and it is updating correctly on edit page only.

    on source page <title> tag is updated as post title not as per yoast seo meta box. I’m attaching Screenshot of both of home page yoast seo meta box and source page

    Thanks for reaching out. I see your site is running Yoast SEO v22.7. Could you update to v23.7, first? Let us know if the issue continues after.

    I confirmed the site now runs v23.7. Could you retake screenshots of what you added in the SEO title field?

    Thanks for the screenshots. Please try the following:

    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

    Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.
