    Hello,

is it possible to integrate the plugin without a Personio account? Do there Personio test-account exist? Or is there a possibility to “fake” a Personio XML?

My client does not have their Personio account setup yet but we still would like to proceed with the plugin integration.

    Kind regards,
    Andreas

In any case, you need a Personio URL to work with positions in the plugin. You can also use one from any Personio account. You can find some on the net if you search for inurl:jobs.personio.com: https://www.google.com/search?q=inurl%3Ajobs.personio.com

You are also welcome to use our own test account: https://dev-partner-laolaweb-gmbh.jobs.personio.com/ – although we always change content there for testing purposes.

You should be aware that the links to the application form always lead to the page you have chosen.

Even with the Pro plugin, you can work with such a URL for the time being. The application forms could also be prepared in this way. You only need a Personio account if the applications received with the Pro plugin are actually to be sent to the Personio API – theoretically not before.

Thank you very much. This helped a lot.

BUT I’d like to point out to other developers who might want to go this route (using a job position XML document over which they have no more information than the XML itself): be aware, that the plugin will import the content based on the WP language settings – and this means that in case you run a WP instance set to any other language than “English” (for “Light” this means “German”) you might be surprised that there might be no/hardly any descriptions imported, causing no content (main job descriptions) for the imported positions to be shown.

To get a look at e.g. the German XML you have to call the Personio XML with a language parameter

There is also a setting for the language in the plugin. This can be found under Positions > Settings, directly below the Personio URL input field. The free plugin only supports German and English, the paid Pro plugin supports all languages that Personio also supports (e.g. spain and polish). Depending on which language you have selected here, it will be used for importing positions from Personio (with the parameter at the URL as described in the Personio documentation).

When the plugin is installed, the language with which WordPress is used is already activated here (in case it is supported, otherwhise english is marked), which in the vast majority of cases is the language with which the website is also operated.

Only the Pro plugin includes full support for multilingualism, including for WPML and Polylang.
