    PART A

    I have created a woocommerce website using crocoblock plugins ..and so far everything was running ok. Lately though appeared a very persistent issue with the stock. Some products appear as out of stock in the front end ..although when editing those products, they do have stock available ..and if updating the product (without changing something), the front end also shows correctly that it is in stock. The persisting issue is that even than I bulk updated all products (twice till now) after a few days the issue starts appearing randomly again.

    “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.”

    This is the message shown by products that have the problem ..although they have stock available, and a simple update of the product solves the issue temporarily. Tried a few things ..disabled cache, disabled plugins to check for conflicts, reverted to a default theme, optimized the database, converted all tables to InnoDB, removed transients… Nothing seems to do the job – the problem is still there.

    PART B

    A simple change in the product variations > Save changes ..or by simply updating the product (edit product page) ..corrects the issue. But after some days ..randomly, other products start behaving like this again.

    PART C

    I migrated the site to a new server ..but unfortunately the issue persists. There is another clone on another host/server, litespeed, with less resources (so it loads very slow) ..BUT after the migration it sort of crashed and repaired itself (it looked like that) ..and then the problem disappeared! And still haven’t reappeared to my knowledge. Will have to thoroughly check again if this is the case indeed.

    So at the moment, I have a freshly migrated site ..a staging site on the same server (both with the stock issue) ..and a third copy of the site on another host/server. It should plenty to help with the troubleshooting.

    From what I see in other threads here and in github ..this is a persisting issue that has not been resolved for some time now.

    Appreciate your detailed explanation. This does seem like a persistent and unusual issue, especially considering it resolved itself when you cloned the site to another server.

    To begin troubleshooting, could you share the System Status Report of the live site?
    Also, provide the link to the GitHub threads you mentioned, as they might offer additional insights.

    Once we have that information, we can take a closer look at what’s happening.

    I’m coming from the github issue mentioned above.

    The values below are different from the staging site to the live site, with the staging site having more resources allocated. I don’t know if you can replicate the values on the live site, but if so, it might be a good thing to test.

    I tried tweaking the mentioned values ..but it did not directly remedy the products that show as out of stock (while the have stock) nor changed the message.
    Only by updating a product (or by hitting the ‘Save changes’ button in Variations tab) restores the correct status in the front-end.

    I am not sure if after the changes the issue will be fixed or will be reproduced in the future.
    But it definitely does not automatically fix products that currently show this ‘This product is currently out of stock and unavailable’.

    Furthermore ..some differences like the version of MySQL MariaDB ..I cant really tweak myself.

    Truth is that more people are still coming in, stating the same issue in github ..and it is not easy to continuously monitor a store with hundreds of products.

    There should be a way to fix this by scanning/regenerating/updating the variation tables.
    One way would be to do it manually – using a tool like those available in Woocommerce > Status > Tools).
    This might not solve the root/cause of the problem ..but it would definitely identify if an additional cron job is required to check variations ..or something like that.

    I see that the “Out of stock” message on your simple product isn’t the default, while it is on the variable product.

    Twenty Twenty-Four theme is enabled and ONLY WooCommerce plugin is active.

    The product links provided in previous reply are still showing the wrong message, although they have stock available etc.

    I tried to replicate the issue on my test site but could not do so.
    I still see the “Out of stock” message on Simple Products instead of “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.“

    As a test could you create a new test product like I have done?
    Then share the link with me.

    URGENT
    We are talking about an issue that affects live sites.
    The response time in this thread is very slow for this issue to get resolved soon.
    I loose track of your replies.
    If you are following the github thread you will see more people keep coming in with the same problem.
    I understand that there are other issues and bugs to tackle by your team, but since it is not an isolated incident, someone has to be assigned in a devoted way to resolved this issue.

    Thanks for replying quickly – I missed your last reply.
    Still, now that I read it I am not sure what you are investigating.

    There are simple products that show the correct ‘Out of stock’ message.
    But randomly products go ‘bad’, showing the other “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.“
