    When I am on my iPhone and iPad in the WordPress app, if I reply to a comment it shows me as Anonymous, even though I am signed in as myself. It also says “there has been a problem posting this comment” but the comment goes through, but as from Anonymous, and not me.

    Hey @stfriedman, from what I can understand, this could be a cache issue in your WordPress app. Maybe try clearing that from your device settings.
    Also, please try to make sure that your WordPress in the app is updated to latest version.

    If these general fixes do not work and it works on web, it could be a bug in the mobile app. Hope some representative from the WordPress mobile app community can help you out there!

    Hi Arka, thanks for the help! I am not sure how to check (I’m on auto update) for the latest, and I don’t know how to access the cache in the WP app. When I go to the app in settings it doesn’t show anything like “clear cache” as a choice. More details would be helpful. Thanks again.

    Hey @stfriedman, it seems that you are on the latest version so I dont think versioning should be an issue. In general, every app will have a clear data/clear cache option in your device settings. Maybe try reinstalling the app?

    This is just a general solution. Could just be a bug in the app and someone else would be more capable to help.

    I deleted and reinstalled the app and it didn’t help. Hope someone from Mobile is out there..

    Hi @stfriedman,

    Given that reinstalling the app didn’t help, can you please tell me this only occurs in the app or it happens the same when leaving comments using the web browser of your site dashboard? If it’s only in the app, can you please specify if it happens on this specific site only or in other sites as well? In case you have more sites.

    it only occurs in the app. I tried two other sites I have. One worked directly (a WordPress.com) site. One asked me to sign in (another WordPress.com site). The Smokey Wire is the main one I use that doesn’t give me a chance to sign in and publishes it as anonymous. That one is www.remarpro.com.
