    Hi,
is there any option to get the search form (which now sits on the right top of my home page) nicely into my navigation in some way?
Despite the fact that obviously my theme does not provide this?
The window dialog at “Appearance -> Menus” displays: “Your theme does not natively support menus, but you can use them in sidebars by adding a “Navigation Menu” widget on the Widgets screen.” And “Ivory search -> menu search” displays: “Navigation menu location is not registered on the site.”
Usually, I’m handling my navigation through the templates in “Appearance -> Editor”.

So, I’m wondering if there is any option to get the search into my navigation without the need to fiddling around with “function code snippets” in the function.php file of my theme?

    Greetings,
    Maria

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can just add the block having search bar beside the navigation block then we can use CSS to style and position it correctly.

    Hi Vinod,

thank you for your hint. It’s better than before and this way it uses less space in my header but still it’s not what I really would like to have.
I’d rather like the Search to be minimalistic: there should only be the Search Icon displayed and the text field should only show up when I click on it.
As I understand from your documentation this is only possible with the above mentioned registered menu, is this correct?
