Are there really two login systems for the plugin directory and support?

    I’m sure this hasn’t gone unnoticed, but I thought I’d add my weight to other’s requests…

    I’ve just signed up for an account for support and was surprised to find that I couldn’t use this to login to the plugin directory to vote on a plugin. I presume this is because the two systems are separate. Is this correct? If so could it be changed?
