Bible text no longer appearing

  • Hi, all has been working well until a week or so ago. My reading plan pulls up the chapter name and number but not the Bible text itself.

    WordPress updated to 6.6.2 around a month ago, so I don’t think it’s this causing the problem.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Ok, I see that problem! Are you able to see the PHP logs for your site, are there any errors in there?

    No obvious PHP errors on the logs. Running PHP 7.4.

    What shortcode are you using? I’ll try to reproduce it here. Are you using a custom plan, or one of the supplied ones?

    It’s a custom plan; I’ve been using it for over a year and no problems. This current shortcode has been unchanged since January 2024.

    Here’s the shortcode:
    [bible-reading-plan source=”ESV” reading_plan=”discipleship-project-year2″]

    I’ve also tried using other sources and pre-supplied shortcodes from your plugin and they all produce the same issue – chapter headings but no text.

    Update:
    I’ve changed the source from ESV to ABS and this works! The chapter AND text appears in KJV.

    Perhaps the issue is with the ESV API?
