I am experiencing an issue with one of my forms where users are unable to submit the form successfully. Each time a user attempts to submit the form, they are met with the following error message:

“Error: Your form is not valid, please fix the errors!
    Selected value does not exist.”

This message appears repeatedly for different fields, regardless of the user’s selection.

    Details of the Issue:

    • The form uses multiple radio buttons, and users are consistently seeing the error about “selected value not existing” upon submission.
    • I have verified that all options exist and match what is defined in the Forminator field settings, including capitalization and formatting.
    • The error occurs whether the form is filled manually or with pre-filled data.

    Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

    1. Ensured that all radio button values match the configuration in the Forminator settings.
    2. Verified that each form field has a unique name attribute.
    3. Tested the form across different browsers and without any extra JavaScript, but the issue persists.

Expected Outcome: The form should submit successfully after all required fields are filled, without showing errors about non-existent values.

Could you please assist me in identifying what might be causing this error and how to resolve it?

    Hello @loomtronic

Hope you’re doing well today! I am sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with Forminator. Thank you for sharing detailed information about the issue.

I was able to import the form on my lab site and was able to make a test there. However, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue with the form. On my lab site the form was submitted without any issues.

Please refer to the screen recording here: https://monosnap.com/file/dXTKKRqSJP87sSoxYwp27gN7lRoajE

Further, I made a test on the site you shared and was able to notice some console errors happening when I made each selection on the radio fields.
You can refer to the screen recording here: https://monosnap.com/file/8OT5YLxPawuwqArrCJI0oGZGfMZmvE

Although the console errors were persisting, I was still able to submit the form on the page that you shared. Please refer to the screenshot below.

Although I wasn’t able to replicate the exact issue you mentioned on your site ideally, the console errors should not be appearing and could point to some conflict on the site.

In this case, the issue will need a bit more troubleshooting at your end, I would recommend you try submitting the form in Private/Incognito mode after you’ve cleared all the site and server caches and check if that helps. For the console errors, to narrow down the conflict, you will need to perform a conflict test by disabling all the plugins except Forminator and check if the console is no longer visible. Then activate each plugin – one at a time until you replicate the console errors again. The last plugin you activate after which you replicate the issue is probably the conflicting plugin.

You can read more about the conflict test here: https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#conflict-test

I would recommend you perform the conflict test on a staging/dev environment so that it does not affect the live site.

Please let us know how it goes so that we can troubleshoot the issue further.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh
