PNG files can’t be seen

    Hello everyone,
    with the latest update I noticed that the PNG files that are uploaded, at least on my site, are not showing, whether it is coverted into avif or webp. Instead of the image you see a box with the generic icon of an image. With JPG files this problem is not there.

    Thanks for reaching out @reteinformatica If you’d like to share an example post or page on your site that demonstrators this placeholder image I can take a look. Alternatively if you wish to share your Site Health information and maybe a recording of your experience, you can share here, or privately using this form.

    In the event that there are issues with the PNG files you’re uploading, have you tried to upload other PNG or JPEG files?

    You can also check if this is specific to this one site by uploading the same PNG files to a disposable WordPress site, which has Modern Image Formats plugin active.
