Our ISP is telling us that they are seeing a high number of ITSEC_CRON jobs from Solid Security (better-wp-security). Is anyone else seeing this? Are there any settings on Basic plugin to manage the number of CRON jobs initiated and run?

    thx

    Hi @markxkr,

So sorry for the slow turnaround here!

The only resource-intensive feature of Solid Security is the File Change detection (Security > Settings > Features > Site Check). Do you have that enabled on your installs that are running on the same server? If so, try to disable it and observe if that alleviates the high no. of cron jobs produced by the plugin.

The automatic writing of files to the server (which runs every hour) may also contribute to this, so you can try to disable the “Write to Files”?in Security > Setting > Global Settings. When you do this, you need to?manually?add the Solid Security config rules to each site’s?wp-config.php?and?.htaccess?files. To know what plugin rules you should paste to the files, please go to?Security >?Tools?and check the following:

    • Server Config Rules?into the?.htaccess?file
    • wp-config.php Rules?into the?wp-config.php?file

Let me know if this helps.

    Hi @shanedelierrr?

I’ve disabled that write option and will monitor. Also sent your message to the ISP for them to monitor as well.

    Thanks for coming back.

    Hi @markxkr,

Just wanted to reach back out here to see if you had any updates on whether the previous suggestions helped.

    Thank you!
