Removing the read more link from the post on the front page

  • no matter how short i make the post, i always get the 4 dots at the end “….” and the Read More link with the little arrow infront

    i have tried messing in several of the php files, where ever i could find “read more” or “continue reading” but i cant figure it out on my own.

    can anyone tell me what to do? what do i change and where?

  • Your theme may be using <?php the_content();?> in its template files. Try editing the relevant template file (index.php ?) and replacing <?php the_content();?> with <?php the_excerpt();?>.
