On versions 5.0.9, 5.1.0, 5.1.1 and 5.1.2, WP dark mode hasn’t been working properly on the block editor. I’m using the Customify theme. Here are screenshots of what it looks like:

In my browser console, I see this error:

TypeError: wp_dark_mode_admin_json.paths is undefined (website url/wp-content/plugins/wp-dark-mode/includes/modules/gutenberg/main.js?ver=5.1.2:1)

Here is what it looks like on 5.0.8, which I’ve rollbacked the plugin to:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ll release a fix soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

However, You can use version 5.1.0, where the “Block Editor Dark Mode” feature should work properly.

I’ve upgraded to 5.1.5 now, but still getting an error in my browser console and the dark theme doesn’t show up in the block editor.

Uncaught TypeError: document.querySelector(…) is null – website url/wp-content/plugins/wp-dark-mode/includes/modules/gutenberg/main.js?ver=5.1.5:2

Thanks for updating to version 5.1.5! We checked on our end but didn’t come across the console error or any issues with the dark theme in the block editor.

Could you share the debug log from your site when you get a chance? That’ll help us dig a bit deeper into what might be going on.

    Thank you!
