    Hello,

I used pods to create custom taxonomy named Wiki and created a few custom fields. When I create a new wiki post, I want to be able to use the default 2024 theme template Single with Sidebar. Currently, it shows the old classic editor with my custom fields and not the block editor. I’m not sure how to accomplish this, I’m not a developer and any documentation I find about the PODs Templates involves some knowhow of coding.

I’ve seen some videos of using the paid elementor plugin to accomplish this but I’d like to use the default theme and no paid plugins.

    Thank you in advance,

    Eric

Block Editor should be the default editor for post types of type post, but may fall back to the classic editor if the REST API is returning errors or not accessible.

    • Try saving permalinks under WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks. If permalinks are not enabled, the REST API may not work.
    • If using a post type other than post, try turning on the REST API under the REST API tab when editing the Pod.
    • Make sure Elementor does not have any settings which might disable the Block Editor for the post type.
