Hello. Last November I upgraded all my websites to PHP 8.1. For some reason, this site is the only one that had issues.

Ever since the upgrade I have lost the Series icon in the left navigation pane of the WP dashboard, and the only way to access my list of existing Series posts is by: Dashboard > Posts >Manage Series

When I click on a title of an existing Series I am provided with the following error message:

You need a higher level of permission. Sorry, you are not allowed to manage terms in this taxonomy.

When I write articles I am able to assign them to an existing Series.

Here’s what I tried so far:

    1. I logged in as a different Admin user. No difference.
    2. I checked the Permissions through the cPanel, and they are all correct, and identical to the ones in my staging site. (Different domain, and working correctly.) bassic-sax.com
    3. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling the plugin. No difference.

I am very confused. I am hoping you folks who created the plugin can perhaps shed some light onto what’s going on.

    Thank you.

    Hi @bassicsax

    Thanks for using PublishPress Series.

Could you please install PublishPress Capabilities and try to check this capability for your role?

    Where would I add that?

Since I do NOT have Publish Press Series in my left navigation pane on my dashboard, I tried it through the following pathway, but found a roadblock there as well.

    Dashboard>Plugins>Installed Plugins>Publish Press Series>Settings

    Results in the following message:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

Is there somewhere else I should be adding this plugin capability?

@bassicsax Have you tried our suggestion to add that capability to the role?
