    Hello there!

    I have some Pre-Order Questions:

    1. Where can i change a new Order Status to be “Pending” instead of “Completed”?
    2. How to make items Photo and title clickable in the list view?
    3. How to remove the Country / State field the billing form? (I only need Germany.)
    4. How to change the Confirmation numbers to less number of digits?

    Thx in advance!

    Hello,

Thanks for your message. For the questions number 1 and 3, the Pro/Commercial version of the plugin is required in order to accomplish the required configuration. This is mainly because the status of a rental order is given by the assigned payment method. The free version of the plugin does not support payment methods, and so the default status for any rental order is “confirmed”.

By being able to manage the various payment options, you can either have your clients confirm their rental orders by placing a successful payment (i.e. through PayPal), or you can publish an “offline” payment solution with a name like “Request approval”, so that the status of the rental orders will be “Pending” by default, and any administrator could manually update it to “Confirmed”.

Managing the custom fields is another feature available only in the Pro/commercial version of the plugin, but with the free version you could manually delete the default database record that prints the drop down menu for listing the various countries.

Regarding the question number 2: you probably need to override the template file of the desired page in order to change the default HTML structure of the photos of your items. The name of that View (page) is “itemslist”, and on our website you can find the instructions to create an override for a specific page of the plugin, so that by installing future updates your changes would not go lost.

Instead, changing the length of the confirmation number would require a modification of the source code, because that’s actually a core function, and not a page/view that supports override. We strongly discourage editing the plugin core files, or your changes will go lost by installing future plugin updates through the WordPress native functions.

We invite you to reach out to our team through our website should you have any technical questions.

    Thank you,
    The VikWP Team
