Not displaying according to theme

The URL without https:// redirects me to the one with https://. And the page looks perfectly fine to me.

However, I notice that you have entered 2 different domains in the WordPress settings. Under Settings > General, you have apparently entered the URL without https:// in the one field for the site URL. Change this to the same URL as in the 2nd field.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have a few comments back:

1. I did make the change you suggested, but I do not think that is the source of the problem.

2. It was unfortunate timing, but the example page I listed in my initial inquiry is now displaying correctly.

Here’s another example: https://discussingterms.com/2024/09/16/negotiation-preparation/ which displays incorrectly. https://discussingterms.com/2024/09/16/negotiation-preparation/ displays correctly.

3. After a few days or weeks, an incorrectly displaying page will start to display correctly. It’s not anything that I change about the page. I think something about my pages telegraphs to the browsers–“this might be a sketchy page”–so they display it strung out, rather than as intended to display. It’s weird. I tried searching on this topic, but have not found anything useful.

4. I’ve tried different devices and different browsers, but the pages that display incorrectly, do it on all the ones I have tried. I think you will see what I mean if you look at the second example I listed above.

Unfortunately, most of what I learned about computers was back in the last century, so it’s hard for me to trouble shoot this.

I sorted it out. I had hotlinks inside the post. Apparently, browsers are sensitive to hotlinks–undoubtably because bad actors use them to misdirect. Once I removed the links, things worked okay. I will have to learn more about what is allowed and not allowed, but my post is working now. ??
