    I’m considering starting out with this plugin — the free version of USPS Shipping for WooCommerce – Live Rates — and I see that it does not include capabilities for printing shipping labels within the WordPress environment, which is fine for now. Eventually, if this plugin works out for calculating the shipping fees, I intend to upgrade. Meanwhile, I’ve been searching to know what the procedure is for printing labels outside the WordPress environment until then.

    If I go to the USPS website to purchase & print the label for a shipment that was calculated by Live Rates, assuming I’m accessing their live rates from my website via my API key, will I be able to access that shipment from the USPS website?

    OR… does Live Rates work together with the existing label printing functionality included in “WooCommerce Shipping” or “WooCommerce Shipping & Tax” (that was installed by default as part of the “escorted” WooCommerce setup)?

    Hello @2dawgs,
    Our plugin does not send order data to the USPS account, thanks to which you can generate a label. With our plugin, you can show your customers the automatically and real-time calculated USPS shipping rates.
    To generate a label on the USPS website you need to enter the data that is required for this process manually.

    As for the plugins “WooCommerce Shipping” or “WooCommerce Shipping & Tax,” we have not tested them with our plugin, therefore I am not able to confirm whether they will work properly together.

    Yes, I gathered this, and I’m fine with entering the shipping label data manually to generate the label for now, as long as the shipping charges agree with what the customer was shown at checkout time. In this scenario, where would I find the necessary shipping label data? Is that included in the order information?

    In our plugin, you can select the services that are to be available to store customers on the checkout page: e.g. Priority Mail? Large Flat Rate Box Normal Delivery Time. When a store customer provides the shipping address on the checkout page, our app will show the appropriate rates for this service based on the store address and delivery address. All data needed to generate the appropriate label can be found on the Edit Order page in WooComemrce and if you enter them on the USPS website the shipping rates will be the same as on the checkout page in your store.
