Now that this plugin ship function seems to have been depreciated; is there a timetable on when all sites will be forced to switch to the new WooCommerce Shipping plugin? I have seen from topics in that new plugin support forum and reviews that some significant features from WooCommerce Shipping & Tax are missing in the latest plugin. Going into the holiday season combined with a lengthy procedure for our corporate support in implementing backend changes to keep their websites secured has me concerned.

Also, I can’t find any documentation on this, currently, we have our UPS-negotiated rates implemented in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax. Has this been carried over into the new WooCommerce Shipping Plugin?

    Thanks,

    Hi @psychjay,

Thank you for your message. Rest assured, you can continue using the original WooCommerce Shipping & Tax while we polish the new plugin, iron out all the issues, and add missing features. Our devs are actively monitoring the forums for the new plugin and reviewing customer feedback to handle this as quickly as possible! You’ll have plenty of time to use the original plugin before a migration is fully required!

Regarding the UPS rates, can you tell us if you were part of this beta program? Or how are you handling your UPS rates with our plugin currently?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the response, this will help ensure we don’t have disruption to an upcoming increase in shipping volume over the next couple of months starting in October.

As for UPS, I don’t recall any documentation that we were in the beta, but it looks like we are a part of it based on the link in your response. What we have does line up with those instructions. We have had this plugin since it was called WooCommerce Services I believe and have had our UPS Carrier Account linked for years.

    Hello psychjay,

    Thank you for your reply.

I suggest continuing to use the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin during the rush period would be best. Then you can plan to move to the WooCommerce Shipping plugin.

Regarding UPS, you can continue using the same account over WooCommerce shipping for UPS-negotiated rates. It is explained in this documentation.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions or concerns.

Just for clarification so there is no room for misunderstanding on our side. Is this explanation talking about the new WooCommerce Shipping plugin? The linked documentation is under the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax subsection. Just trying to make sure we are on the same page.

    Hello psychjay,

    Thank you for your reply.

    That is a good question.
I checked again and the documentation is referring to the WooCommerce Shipping plugin and not the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin.

Previously invited users can connect?their own UPS account?with?WooCommerce Shipping?to view negotiated UPS rates and print UPS labels right from the WooCommerce dashboard.?

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards.

Perfect, I’ll keep an eye on the feature stack of the new plugin as development continues. We will plan to migrate after the holiday season with our internal tech support team.

    Thanks!
