WooCommerce automatic tax feature for other countries not working

    Hi,

    My shop is California based and we are selling to all the countries. So for tax related things we are using the WooCommerce Tax plugin. The WooCommerce Tax plugin mentioned it has auto tax features for selected countries which they mentioned in their documentation. But the issue which we are facing is it is not able to add or calculating the tax while checkout and the billing/shipping address which we add for testing is from the list of countries which WooCommerce Tax plugin has mentioned. We also deactivated the theme and tasted in default WP theme but then also issue was happening. I am mentioning my site details below.

    WP version: 6.6.1
    WooCommerce verison: 9.2.3
    WooCommerce Tax plugin version: 2.8.1
    PHP version: 8.2.19

    Thank you for the detailed report. I understand you’re trying to get taxes from a purchase to Spain for your store set in California but you’re seeing a 0 tax value. Even if the tax value for an order is 0.00, Automated Taxes may be working correctly.

    If your store is based in, for instance, the United States, you only need to collect sales tax from customers in locations where you have a “tax nexus,” which typically means a physical presence.?WooCommerce Shipping & Tax?uses your store address (WooCommerce > Settings > General) as your “tax nexus”.

    You can also have a tax nexus in another state if you exceed a certain yearly dollar value or order total to another state. If you are unsure of your tax nexus status, please consult a certified local accountant.

    If you need to charge tax for any other location, you can add a?tax rate?for that location and use automated taxes to charge customers from that location’s tax as well.
