Bing picking up wp-content/uploads directory

We use the Maintenace Mode plugin to hide our sites in development.

one sitethat is still in maintenance had their wp-content/uploads directory shown on Bing search, even though public users couldn’t access it.

Any way to prevent bing from searching the site?
