How to put default payment options to different status?

    Hello everyone,

    By default, for example – we are given the payment option on the backend of “Cash on delivery”

    When someone used this, the status shows as “processing”.

    Is there anyway to show this as “on hold” because technically we would need the “cash” before the order moves to processing and would technically be “on hold” etc.
