Activating Consent Mode- but the google ads tags and GA4?

    Hello,

    I have one pre sale question.
    We will buy your plugin for 2 or 3 websites from us, because of the google consent mode. But we have the problem:

    • One google tag manager configured for us some google tags for our google ads. We can see our convertions with total sales and other (in euro). And in google tag manager we have 2 more tags for facebook and bing too.
      I checked your guide for the activating google consent mode.
      Will be possible and easy to configure our tags like our old tags for google ads and google/bing/facebook analytics too?

    Is maybe easy that we just activate the consent mode in google ta manager (with import your tag) and all our old tags will be work automatically, or we have to configure it again?
    If we need to configure, do you will help us for this?

    Hello,

    thanks for your message.

    As suggested in this guide https://complianz.io/simplified-guide-to-google-consent-mode-v2/ the only thing you’ll need to do is:

    1) For the main tags related to Google Ads and Google Analytics put the trigger “All pages”
    2) For all those tags related to services not compatible with the Consent Mode, like Bing and Facebook, you’ll need to put a custom trigger related to a specific category, in you case it should be “cmplz_event_marketing”

    This tags above are needed only for the main tags of these services, the second level tags like a purchase event won’t need a consent trigger, so you’ll be able to put the triggers you prefer.
