I am currently redesigning my company’s website in a staging site that another employee set up for me. However, before I knew about what the WP Staging plugin was for, I deactivated and deleted it within my staging site. It is still active in the current live site.

I have tried to reactivate the plugin within my staging site, but it contains no data. Will this be a problem when I try to push changes on my staging site to my live site?

This ist no problem. You can either reconnect the existing staging site before pushing or use the WP Staging backup and migration feature to easily migrate your staging site to live.

We can assist you with that or you can follow this guide: https://wp-staging.com/docs/how-to-migrate-your-wordpress-site-to-a-new-host/

Well in the dashboard for my live site, WP Staging is still active and my staging site is still available.

However, in the dashboard for my staging site, WP Staging does not show any staging sites.

Do I need the data in my staging site dashboard as well, or only in my live site dashboard?

You only need to see the staging sites in your live site. So all seems to be fine.

Once you install wp staging pro on the live Site you will get the option to push the staging site to live.
