    Hi! I’m getting the following error:

    SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected]: : Sender address rejected: not owned by user [email protected]

    When this option is turned off

    When I turn it on what happens is that on contact forms the recipient mails is replaced by the site one and I need the recipient mail ??

    How I can solve this situation:

    To make it work turning that option off or to get the recipient email correctly since the plugin overrides it…

      Hi @gabikod,

      Thanks for reaching out & I apologize for the confusion!

      Please kindly know that you can only send emails from your Easy WP SMTP authenticated email account (from email address), and there’s no way to change that email. This is because you don’t have the authority to send an email on behalf of a user who’s submitting your web form.

      However, you can set a “reply-to” email address to include the user’s email who’s submitting your form. For example, you should be able to set it using the plugin that you have generated those emails with.

      If you’re using a plugin like WPForms, here’s how you can set a “reply-to” email address:?WPForms Documentation. If you’re using a different platform, please refer to their documentation.

      I use Elementor form, do you know any solution for it?

      There something else I don’t fully understand…

      Why there’s also the option to turn off the force from email if that’s mandatory? I feel I’m missing something.

      I apologize for the delay in response!

      Within the Elementor form notification settings, you have the option to set your “reply-to” email address. In case it helps, please refer to this guide.

      Some mailers, like SendLayer, Amazon SES, Brevo, SMTP.com, and Mailgun, allow you to authenticate a domain name (e.g., “example.com”) instead of one specific email address ([email protected]). Once you authenticate a domain with one of these mailers, you have the ability to send emails using multiple email addresses (e.g.,?[email protected],?[email protected], etc.).

      If you’re using one of the mailers mentioned above, you can disable the “force from email” option, allowing you to set different “from email addresses” within different form notifications or plugin settings that your website uses to send emails (e.g., WooCommerce, WPForms, etc.).
