    Earlier we recieved messages on our email that guest decided to cancel reservation. but resently we don’t recieve them. How we can turn that on again?

    Thanks for your message. The cancellation and modification requests can be enabled from the apposite configuration setting in VikBooking. It would also be possible to let the guests cancel or modify their bookings online, as long as the configured cancellation policy terms are met.

    If you’ve been using the system to allow guests to send a cancellation request message, rather than cancelling their reservations autonomously, then any issues related to the email sending functions must be fixed by working on the two configuration settings in VikBooking called “Sender Email Address” and “Administrator Email Address”.

    VikBooking prepares the mail messages for then handing them over to the WordPress native email sending functions. Most mail servers will refuse to send email messages with a sender address equal to the recipient email address. In some other cases, mail services will not accept a sender email address outside your domain name. This is why we suggest using a “Sender email address” different than the “Administrator email address”, and to make sure the “Sender email address” is within your domain name, for example “[email protected]”. A similar configuration in VikBooking should ensure WordPress is able to send the email message to the proper recipient address and with the proper sender information.
