Please help with Simple Viewer. How can I force the preview of an element not to have such large gaps at the top and bottom (I mean the black frame in the link page). I want the preview content to fill the entire preview container, so that there is no thick black frame. I would be grateful for quick help. I have the PRO version of the plugin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You are using a very small image for the poster of this video (it simply cannot fill the entire area since it is 336×188 px). Try a service for getting screenshots from YouTube, for example this one https://www.get-youtube-thumbnail.com/

With it I got a much larger poster -> https://i3.ytimg.com/vi/S7EdaAxnjzg/maxresdefault.jpg, maybe this will make the margins much smaller.

Also play with the slider size settings to find the right proportions (the most suitable for the videos you have chosen) and you can change it in the Slider Settings. This is what I got https://simplygallery.co/simply_gallery/viewer-demo/

Thank you for your very quick response – you’ve helped me a lot to understand how Slider Viewer works. Just confirm if in your last post you meant the “Slider Height ratio. Height / Width = Ratio” slider in the “Slider Settings” tab? What ratio did you choose in the example in the demo?

Last question – Why is the “Caption”Show Item Caption” option not working? I set the options as follows: “Show Item Caption > Source for Item caption: Description > Font size: 16 > Text Color: white.” Where should the description set appear next to the thumbnail?

    1. Yes, you understood correctly this is the setting “SLIDER HEIGHT RATIO. HEIGHT / WIDTH = RATIO.” For me the value 0.66 was suitable.
    2. In order for the Caption to be displayed, your image (poster) must have this caption. The caption is stored in the WP media library if you do not enter it yourself, then it will not appear in any way. This is what it looks like in the caption in this block – https://simplygallery.co/simply_gallery/viewer-demo/ (“No description has been added to this video.”)

Everything is clear to me now. Can we set the caption display to be displayed under each thumbnail of the next photos of the films under the main window of the first film? For example, I have several thumbnails of the next films under the preview of the large window and I want the captions of the films to be displayed there? Is this possible with Simple Viewer?

I don’t quite understand what you want, but at the same time I can’t imagine how this can be implemented in Viewer (the settings system of this block is too complicated). But it seems to me that the Portfolio block as on this page might suit you.

Yes, Portfolio has exactly what I need – subtitles for movies next to thumbnails. Similarly, Simply Grid has such descriptions on thumbnails. Once again, thank you for your help with each of my questions. Best regards and I will use your wonderful plugin more than once – also in the PRO version. Best regards
