REST API – “your site might have it disabled”

    Hello,

    We started seeing this error message in our dashboard today:

    “AIOSEO Pro relies on the WordPress Rest API and your site might have it disabled. Click here to learn more”

    We’ve had the REST API restricted for ~10 years now via SolidWP (formerly iThemes). This setting disables the API publicly, but allows the API to run if you’re logged in. Since AIOSEO only accesses the API when users create/edit posts, it seems like we shouldn’t be getting this message.

    Also, I see that in the past this error was displaying for non-admins only, and it was determined this was a bug. The message is showing up for Editors but not admins. Is it possible the message is a false positive?

    Any insights, particularly regarding compatibility between SolidWP Rest restriction and AIOSEO Pro, would be most appreciated!
