• Hey Frank,

Revolution Slider released a new frontend engine called SR7 which does not work together with autoptimize at all – also not if you exclude the scripts etc. You have to turn off js and cs optimization completely, otherwise slider is completely missing and keeps saying “ReferenceError: SR7 is not defined” in console.

    Have you already tested that?

    Cheers, Markus

afraid I don’t have a test-version of RevSlider, but if things worked with their old frontend engine and now they don’t, you might want to contact them first and foremost and tell them about the regression? ??

Yeah, I already told them. ??

Just wanted to know if you coincidentally already had a solution.

    any feedback from them @markus0schulte ? ??

We’re seeing the same thing with SR7 and Autoptimize here. I’m going to investigate and try to find a solution/workaround. I’ll update here if I find a neat way to solve it.

I had the same problem, in my case I had to disable JS optimizing on the page I was using the Revolution Slider module for it to work.

Hello, I have the problem as well. I found out that if I disable extra compatibilty logic (the last option from Misc section), the slider works as usual. But this breaks a lot other JS scripts in my website. So it’s not an option.
Do you have any solution? Thank you.
Temporarily, I decided to render back Revolution Slider with the old SR6 engine. But this cannot be a long lasting solution.

Same problem, but I’m not sure if it’s an issue with “Slider Revolution.” I’ve tried every way to exclude the plugin’s JavaScript from optimization, but it still gets optimized. I think it might be something that made the plugin compatible with the older version, which is breaking the new one. However, I could obviously be wrong.

try toggling the “compatibility logic” setting maybe?

if anyone has a staging site where they can leave things broken for me to see, I’d be happy to have a look at how revslider has changed (I don’t have it myself).

Sent a contact form, I have a staging site with SR7/autoptimize JS incompatibility. Reply to the email for access.
