    If your theme has background feature then you should able change it in admin panel under Appearance

    Just to clarify – Mystique does have a customization feature. You can find it under the Appearance tab in the WP Admin area.

    There will be a link just for the Mystique theme, and once you click that, at the bottom of that page, you can customize the background image. Towards the top of that page, you can also change the background color (if your image is not whole-width).

    If you’d like to repeat it, you will have to do so in the style.css file. If that’s the case, just post a link up here and let us know what you’d like to do!

    Best,

    You don’t need to edit the style sheet with Mystique. You simply add your changes to the “User CSS” area in the themes customization pages in your dashboard.

    But to answer your question, yes. Any plain text editor will do the job.

    Here’s a list of just a few. Text editors

    In fact, let me answer your very first question, and maybe you will get the hang of things once you take the time to look at the themes options pages.

    Dashboard > Appearance > Mystique settings > >Design tab >

    6th option down on the page. See where it says: “Background color” ?

    Give that a go first, and see if it sets things in motion for you. Click it, drag your cursor over a new color and then set the new background color and test it.(Don’t forget to click the “Save Changes” tab, at the top of the page first). Then you can take a minute to explore the rest of the theme options pages.

    I have Alpine 1.2 theme and also need to change my background colour please help!!! It’s been driving me nuts (I am only a beginner though).

    The post for Mystique doesn’t seem to apply to my dashboard, I dont have Alpine settings in my appearance option or design tab??

    I’m also trying to delete the RSS feed and comments from each of the bottom of my pages (I don’t want to use them)> I’ve tried putting in this:
    code:post.entry-utility,.post.entry-meta{display:none;}
    but obviously in the wrong place on my comments.php. Help please??!!
