Hi, it really depends on your legal interpretation of GDPR. I unfortunately can not give any counsel on that. So please understand my explanation as possible examples which need to be clarified with your legal counsel.
If you would for example set all switches “opt-in/default” to true, all users which land on your page would be allowed to be tracked until they opt -out. Probably that is what you are aiming for.
Most lawyers say in GDPR you need an opt-in and not an opt-out. For that you would need to change the compliance type to “opt-in” on tab “Compliance & Behaviour”.
If you do so, you see that the layout of the switched on the google consent mode tab will change a bit. You need “opt-in” to true in this case as well.
