How to check text widget for shortcode?

    I know how to use the shortcode API, but I need to do a check of the content in the text widget before running the shortcode API function. For instance, if this were a post, I could look at the content by looking at ‘the_posts’. Don’t know where to find what global variable holds the content of the widget text.

    I ended up being able to find the text, but at that point I was no longer able to add a script using wp_enqueue_script.
