The content of my (automatically generated) Events page is now being repeated on each of the Event *detail* pages for each individual Event.

My Events page consists of three sections:

    1. A single paragraph of text at the top… “Forthcoming & previous events are listed below. If there’s sufficient interest I’m happy to explore repeating events at different times & locations – please?get in touch.”
    2. A “Forthcoming Events” section – consisting of a shortcode block – [em_events upcoming =”1″]
    3. A “Previous Events” section – consisting of a shortcode block – [em_events upcoming=”0″ order=”desc”]

Each Event *detail* page is now (erroneously) showing the paragraph of text at the top of the page, along with text headings for “Forthcoming Events” and “Previous Events”. In addition, under the “Previous Events” heading, the content of the Event detail is REPEATED.

    Example pages:

    https://ordinarytheology.com/event/clement-of-alexandria-scripture-knowledge-apologetics/

    https://ordinarytheology.com/event/origen-the-pursuit-of-the-beautiful-word/

    https://ordinarytheology.com/event/st-athanasius-the-achievements-of-the-incarnation/

All of my Event detail pages exhibit the same issue. None of them have been recently edited. And you can see the system generated content (e.g. the headings and the ticket purchase button blocks) twice on each page which I am not able to do even if I wanted to. Hence my belief that this is the result of an update.

    Hello @ordtheo,

Updating the resolution here for public visibility.

As per our response to your ticket on our internal support portal, the issue has been resolved. It was caused by having multiple shortcodes on a single page.

Feel free to reach out if you still have any questions regarding this.

    Thanks for the assistance.

For clarification, in case it helps anyone else, it seems that the automatically generated “Events” page (which is specified in Events > Settings > Pages > Events Page) can no longer have any content present besides simply the single [em_events] shortcode. Any additional content on this page is now replicated on each Event detail page.

The solution was to leave the automatically generated “Events” page alone, with just the single [em_events] shortcode. And then create a new page, on which it is possible to have multiple shortcodes (as per my original post above). I then removed the automatically generated “Events” page from the site menu and included my new page instead.

So the end result was the same (and got me back to where I started ??

    Thanks again!
