Strings not getting translated

    I have tried everything to translate some strings of my table like Showing, to, of, entries, previous, next, but nothing has worked so far. Especially the solution with the extension “tablepress-change-datatables-strings” looks easy and makes sense, but doesn’t work. And yes, I have implemented the locale part in my shortcode. It looks like this right now:
    [table id=6 datatables_locale=de_DE /]

    Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

    Using the mentioned Extension is indeed the best approach here. Are you sure that it’s activated and that you edited the correct file (with the correct file name spelling)? Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    thanks for the quick response! Can I send you the URL of the page via mail?
    Regarding the file – I tried the file “lang-de_DE.php”. I didn’t edit anything, because the translated strings in the file are already correct. They are simply not taken over.
